Sorry if this is old news, but there is a very useful site I heard about the other week I'd thought I'd share.

Basically it logs all trade chat in Kamadan ad1 and makes it searchable. Lets say you search for Ecto, you will see all trade spam regarding ecto, which should give you a general idea of the price. It's also great for finding power traders and if your lucky, rare items still for sale.
